Podcast 8 – Return of the Storm

Today was another one of those days. You’re tired, you’re stressed, but you remain happy enough to make it through the work day. I came home expecting to just relax. Turns out that wasn’t the case. I ran into a friend of mine I haven’t seen in some time and got to catch up. That was great. I then came home and started perusing the net for some new records to keep an eye out for, when I started thinking about all the great times I have had djing soul and funk with some friends here in Pittsburgh. One thing led to another and I was thinking about the PVSC city rally next weekend and how much fun that will be. After getting all amped up on nostalgia and excitement for the rally I decided to make this mix. What a workout!!! If this doesn’t make you sweats then you are going to have wait another 20 years till I can amass a collection that could stand up to the Brits who rule this lifestyle. Northern Soul that is! But I must say there Is one man who invaded my thoughts time and time again today. That would be DJ Riel that’s right my main man at the Steel City Soul Club and Restless! So DJ I gotta tell ya man! Turn it up!
